Your personal data on Critiview as an Individual
We post your reviews on our site so that other users can learn about your interactions with particular Businesses. Other users of our platform will be able to see your username, your location (country), all of the reviews you have written (including the products and locations you have reviewed, as well as any images or videos you have uploaded of the products), and any other details you have chosen to link to your public profile when you write a review. Additionally, they may see if you have annotated other reviews as "useful."
Remember that if you use your real name as your username, it may betray your identity. We recommend that you use caution when determining which information to make available on our platform, and that you understand that depending on the level of information submitted, you may or may not be anonymous.
If you have chosen to maintain your anonymity by not using your name as your Critiview username, be warned that information from social networks can reveal your identity in part or in full, as well as identify which reviews you have posted.
Your personal data on Critiview as a Business Entity
When you create a business account on behalf of your Business, we will disclose your Business name, Business address, domain, country and other information you have chosen to connect with your Business’s public profile.
We recommend you exercise care in deciding which information to make available for disclosing on the website and be aware that depending on the level of information provided, you may or may not disclose personal data.
Other information provided by you on the website, including your replies to users’ reviews about your Business, are also made available for other users of the website.
- Your personal information is shared with other websites, services, and Businesses
- Making reviews more accessible and visible is one of Critiview's primary objectives. As a result, we allow other services to display reviews that have been published on our platform, including—but not limited to—Business responses to reviews that have been posted there. As a result, more customers and potential viewers are aware of Critiview and the reviews.
- Search engines, such as Google and Bing, are examples of third-party services and businesses that may display your reviews in addition to your publicly visible user profile (or, if you have a business account on Critiview, your responses to reviews about your firm).
- Businesses that you invited to review a product;
- Businesses that you reviewed on Critiview.
- Portals for consumers and businesses, such as websites that compare prices, shopping guides, etc.
A business can link your review with their invitation if you respond to their invitation by writing a review on Critiview through our review invitation services.
Documentation that you submit us to confirm your interactions with the reviewed Business will remain private. To the extent that you request otherwise, we may provide the Business with any reference numbers, order IDs, or similar information you may have. The reviewed business will also receive the information you choose to give if you use the Find Reviewer option to reply to a message received by the reviewed business.
Other disclosures
In addition to the above, We may investigate and disclose information from or about you if we have a good faith belief that such investigation or disclosure:
- Protects our rights, reputation, property, or that of our users, affiliates, or the public, such as disclosures made in connection with Critiview's Consumer Alerts program; assists in preventing, investigating, or identifying potential wrongdoing in relation to the Service;
- or is reasonably necessary to comply with legal or law enforcement processes, such as a search warrant, subpoena, statute, judicial proceeding, or other legal process or law enforcement request.

- We only retain your information for as long as necessary or as long as we are compelled by law to. Whether we have an ongoing legal basis to collect it and why (such as to fulfil a contract between us, provide a service you requested, comply with legal requirements, or for our legitimate interests) will determine this. We will either erase or anonymize your data when we no longer have a good reason to keep it around so that it cannot be used to identify you. Depending on the purpose of the data, we handle it differently. However, you have the right to request that your personal data be deleted at any time (see 'Your rights' below).
- Your reviews and any other personal information you submit are stored for as long as your Critiview account is active or as long as it's necessary for us to serve you with our services. Should you decide to remove your user account, we will keep a log that contains your name, email address, and the date that the account was deleted. The log will be retained for three years. There are situations in which we must maintain certain information even after you cancel your Critiview account because of legal requirements or strong business interests. We may keep certain data for extended periods of time for a variety of reasons, such as security, preventing fraud and platform misuse, adhering to legal or regulatory requirements, and protecting our lawful business interest.

If you ask to withdraw your consent to Critiview processing your data, this will not affect any processing which has already taken place at that time.
Modifications to policies
- This policy may be modified from time to time. Laws, rules, and industry standards change, and we might have to adjust our services or business model to accommodate these changes. To keep you informed, we will announce any changes on this page and invite you to read our Privacy Policy.
- We will give you more notice if we make changes that significantly affect your privacy rights, for example, by email or on our platform.
